What you get
One original .xlsx workbook and a README guide in a ZIP file. Sample entries show how it works; replace the amber cells with your own information.
What it helps with
Buy only the material needed for upcoming work plus a safety reserve.
What is inside
One sheet, one row per material. You enter what is on hand, how much one job uses, how many jobs are planned, a safety reserve and the cost per unit of the material. The workbook shows:
- Needed: quantity per job times planned jobs, plus the safety reserve.
- Buy quantity: needed minus what is on hand, never below zero.
- Buy cost: buy quantity times cost per unit. The top cell adds up the purchase estimate.
The samples are black PLA in grams (350 g on hand, 10 jobs at 45 g each, 100 g reserve, so buy 200 g), clear acrylic in square inches, and key rings. Rows 6 to 8 hold three sample materials. Rows 9 to 25 are free for the rest of your stock. Clear the samples first.
Who it is for
Makers who run low on filament, acrylic or findings at the wrong moment. Use one unit consistently in each row, such as grams, square inches or pieces. Cost per unit is your own estimate, not a supplier quote.
For choosing filament, read PLA or ABS.
Before you buy
Digital download only; no physical product is shipped. Open the workbook in Microsoft Excel. Google Sheets import has not yet been verified. Sample rates and amounts are examples, not current market prices or tax advice. You may use and edit your copy for personal or business work; do not resell or redistribute the source workbook. What is the safety reserve for?
It is stock you keep after the planned jobs, in case of failed prints, rush orders or price changes. You set the amount.
Does it track stock over time?
No. It plans one purchase from the numbers you type. Update on-hand quantities each time you plan.
